The air quality sensor is used to detect the air qualityor air quality
based on a mixed gas sensor ⁄ VOC sensor. The measurement signals are
converted to standard signals of 0 -10 V or 4...20 mA. The sensor's
service life depends on the type of burden and gas concentration and is
more than 60 months under normal load conditions. The CO2 sensor is used
to detect the CO2 content of the air. In order to do this, the CO2
concentration is measured within in the range of 0...2000 ppm or
0...5000 ppm and converted into standard signals (0 -10 V or 4...20 mA).
The CO2 content of the air is measured using an optical NDIR sensor
(non-dispersive infra-red technology).The crucial
factor in this respect is that both of these measurands are not
convertible into each other and derivations to or from one another
cannot be made. An NDIR CO2 measuring instrument measures selectively
and cannot detect any VOC; a VOC mixed gas sensor cannot recognize CO2
