The CI battery-powered wireless pulse counter is part of the rTM SE system. It is used together with the energy meter to monitor energy consumption using a supervisory system, without needing to install serial communication cables, making it ideal for retrofit applications or sites where the infrastructure prevents cables from being laid. It transmits data on the pulses from the energy meter and communicates wirelessly with the Access Point using the ZigBee™ communication protocol; the Access Point is in turn connected to a CAREL supervisory system via Modbus® RTU over an RS485 serial link. Suitable for measuring power consumption or volume flows (gas, water etc.) based on pulse signals generated by standard devices.
